“Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Muḥammadun rasūl Allāh.”
“There is nothing worthy of worship other than God, and Muhammad is God’s Messenger.”
This vow is Islam’s foundation. It centers life on one Loving Creator and invites a person to walk in the Prophet’s example—truthful, compassionate, and sincere.

The five daily prayers are the second pillar of Islam and the heart’s daily meeting with Allah. They are fard (obligatory) at their appointed times:

Zakat is a mandatory religious obligation and one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is the practice of giving a fixed portion—typically 2.5%—of one's surplus wealth to benefit the poor, the needy, and the destitute
Sawm, the fourth pillar of Islam, is a compulsory act of worship observed during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. It requires Muslims to abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn to sunset.

The fifth and final pillar of Islam, is the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca.
It is required once in a lifetime for Muslims who are physically and financially able to.
